What is the New Music Network?

The New Music Network is dedicated to the promotion and performance of new music in Australia. The Network is a collective of impressive and passionate contemporary music ensembles and organisations. Based in Sydney, but with its eyes and ears to Australia and the world, the network was formed with the idea of informing audiences about the newest music performances by outstanding Australian artists. New music should be constantly performed to as many people as possible. There will always be those who find a whole new world of expression has been opened up to them, music in a language that speaks to them. The outstanding groups that make up the New Music Network are thirteen of Australia's premier ensembles comprising wonderful instrumentalists and composers committed to this cause. The diversity here is extraordinary.

The New Music Network is grateful for the financial assistance from Arts NSW and the Australia Council for the Arts.
